The Indigenous Relations Branch of Forteck is responsible for developing and building Indigenous relations within the forestry community. We aim for quality forestry standards and take pride in the education of new foresters in the field. Activities include but are not limited to environmental consultation and engagement activities.
Forteck's intent is to develop meaningful relationships with Indigenous communities. Our forestry experts are committed to the inclusion of indigenous stakeholders in the Traditional territory of Treaty 6, 7, 8 and the Metis Settlements.
Our Indigenous Relations Advisor is responsible for building and executing the organizational strategies of Forteck with internal teams and stakeholders through the knowledge of Indigenous cultural, historical and political context. Our advisor will develop strategies and lead engagement events as well as act as the liaison internally and externally. Fostering in the growth of Forteck by being proactive and working to provide quality service to clients with a focus on Indigenous people.
